New Job Tuesday

  • I'm Not Lisa- Jessi Colter

  • It will take a while to get back into the swing of working days and sleeping nights, but I look forward to being normal again.

  • Well, in regards to the hours I keep anyway.

  • Zac scuffed his cheek right under his eye while we were out exploring. It looks like I beat him.

  • "Is there a boo-boo there? Is it bleeding? Is it going to get infected?"

  • I've stomped around Sunshine Lake for years. This is the first time I walked nearly the entire length of the creek and did not even get my shoes muddy- much less wet.

  • It looks like every animal in the county was stampeded to that site for water. The raccoons have been making a good living on the aquatic wildlife trapped in the low areas.

  • Of course everybody that has a bale of hay to sell is going to sell it, but I don't think I've ever seen so many hay haulers in my life. You could take it for granted someone will bale and others will buy lower quality straw to have something to feed their animals, but yesterday, I saw a trailer full of large round bales that was so coarse- I don't have a guess what it was. Really, it looked like bamboo.

  • New job starts today- did I mention?

  • Be good and have a great day.

Sunshine Lake is where?
Congrats on the new job. I did that night thing for 7 years back in the day and went right back to sleeping nights with no problems the first weekend. It's only natural to do so.

Happy Daytime Job!!!! I have no doubt they'll find you to be a Gem. =)

Ugh....and I loathe those awful little bumps & scrapes that look as though we beat them. [sigh]

Paxilicious- Thanks- you're an encourager (if that's not a word- it is now).

ATC- Sunshine Lake is in Weatherford. From main street take 920 toward Peaster the sign says Grace Cartwright park, but most that have lived here a while call it Sunshine Lake. Great place to explore, fish and kids to play. It has an ok playground they're expanding.
Night shift is really no good for you long term.

Kathleen- Hey. Thanks. The worst thing about my savagery? After it happened he said,"Can I have some ice on my boo-boo when we get home?" I said,"Sure baby." fully meaning it, but forgot- it didn't look bad at all until the next morning...

That bamboo looking hay was most likely Sudan.

R- Thanks- bet you're right since I couldn't tell you what baled Sudan looks like.

Don- That flashback actually came from someone saying,"I'm not _____" even though it had been 30+ years sisnce hearing that song I started belting that Jessi Colter classic out without missing a beat. Jessi would have been proud- or nauseated.
