Succinctly Sunday

Because some days you're the lion- on top of the world and the food chain, other days you're the hippo having your guts ripped out and about to become lunch.

  • I just heard Drivin N Cryin doing the song Fly Me Courageous- still great (look it up on the youtubes)- it came out in 1991. It will always remind me of my mom, the first time she heard it she said,"Good grief- what is that junk?"
  • It will also always remind me of an old friend who somehow got involved with a married woman which became a murder for hire plot with the murderee being his wife and the hirer the woman he was involved with. In an odd, loose association I actually met her before he did, I worked on the house she owned. I remember her bawling the painter out because," That's- the- wrong- shade- of- Periwinkle, see look, that will never do!" as she placed a paint chip on the wall. I was looking over her shoulder waiting to talk to her on something regarding our part of the construction and get my fair share of abuse and I honestly could not tell the difference- the chip she held against the wall literally disappeared the match was so perfect. She's in prison right now, I bet she wishes she would have learned to be happy with the Periwinkle paint life gave her even if it wasn't exactly what she pictured.

I will take whatever shade of periwinkle, cos life comes in many different shades.... paint is just paint....

My son painted his bedroom like a graffit wall a few summers back, all his friends also drew around their hands and painted and signed them, and he wrote all the song lyrics of the songs his band plays on his walls.....

When I walked in with his clean washing, his face was a picture, but i just said...... ok, we will use the blue in the downstairs loo.... he said..... what? ya aint mad at me? to which I said, its only paint and can eventually be painted over.... no big deal... there is more in life to worry about then the colour of your bedroom walls..... dont have nightmares LOL

His maties love his room and say that their mums would NEVER in a million years let them have free range on their bedroom walls..... I think it might stem from my parents never allowing me to have so much as a poster on me walls or having a say on anything to do with 'their house'...

The woman seems to of lead a complicated life.....

I would take the hippos place if it relieved some of the hard times in my friends lives.....

Have a lovely Sunday Chupa, you and your kids and family....

Now I wanna paint the back of me little house periwinkle blue... wonder if the shops are still open :)

Sorry about me email, juts bin it...

Horrible photo. Poor hippo.

Is there any festivities going on in Weatherford today for the holiday? I'm here dogsitting for my kids.

BTW, thank you for serving our country.

marms- a lot of conflict could be resolved i think if we all realized paint can be covered, hair grows back (or can be cut later) piercing holes close...

my queen- hey thanks. we usually have a nice little parade. i dont feel so hot so staying close to the house- didnt even check to see what we might have going this year. the odd thing about the word verification (which i don't choose of course) is i thought i set it so it wasn't needed but, anyway it will prevent spam while allowing comments i suppose.

Yep, thats how I look at much in life, my lads have had some wicked hair styles.... and I did a Twaddle post about our Tom trimming Sams hair with the clippers and took the guard off and clipped up the back of his head down to skin level.... we have never laffed so much as that night.... so we ended up just clippering it all off.... cos, after all, it just grows back... same as any piercings, they come and go with no harm done to anyone....

more to life then the little things that in the big scheme of things mean diddly squat :)....

How long does the iPhone battery last before replacement? Like charge cycle wise, not time. Like I heard it was 300 charges then you need to send in for replacement? If it is 300, is it 300 FULL charges? As in your iPhone dies, and won't turn on because it has no battery? Or regardless any charges to the dock it counts?

Hello. My wife and I bought our house about 6 months ago. It was a foreclosure and we were able to get a great deal on it. We also took advantage of the 8K tax credit so that definitely helped. We did an extensive remodeling job and now I want to refinance to cut the term to a 20 or 15 year loan. Does anyone know any good sites for mortgage information? Thanks!

Mike
