marms- watch the vid? they also cover a lot of AC/DC songs (hence their name- duh but, anyway- the lead singer of AC/DC hired them to play his birthday party which i thought pretty cool.
Actually, while some might dismiss HD as a "novelty" band, their music is a solid alternative treatment of many standards of the rock-n-roll canon.
I have the "Common Threads" CD of country artists doing the Eagles' best (or at least most popular) songs. It's notably missing Hotel California, possibly because it's so much the bands signature song. Shame that the youtube of HD doing it had atrocious sound quality.
As you note, I obviously had become aware of Hayseed Dixie for their Angus Young covers - I think they're a hoot!
Afterthoughts:
1) For Marms, ought I have said "their music are..."?
2) Are any named Darrell? Which one(s)?
3) Are they a "hoot", or a "hootenanny"?
'their music is' sounds proper to me.. :)

Ok chupa, I watched the videos, yep, watched many lol.... they do seem like a fun band to have around....I bet they aint really scarey in real life..... maybe its just my sensitive Brit side coming out lmfao

On the same link,there are also several versions of HD doing Dueling Banjos. My 16 year old son loved it.
And no, this is not intended as a 'banjo' joke...
Banjo music always reminds me of strange looking people sitting on bridges playing the banjo lol

My Sam would like a banjo, he fancies having a go at playing it, him and his older brother might buy one between them..... they are both amazing drummers and both play the guitar and Ben the older one is a wicked saxophonist and can usually turn his hand at most instruments.....
I just need to get a bridge constructed somewhere in me garden lol maybe to span the gap between me chicken coop and me greenhouse :)
