I think it would be hysterically funny if the flick, 2012 would have been scheduled for release on December 01, 2012 and then announced they were bumping up the date, just in case. The only things about the flick that is based on a shred of REAL information is Woddy Harrelson plays a goofy, wacko who's on the grungy side and the Mayans need a new calendar.

1977...I'm not ashamed. My 30's are going to be the best decade yet. Well at least the first few years of my 30's. The sacrifice part will probably not be the highlight. :)
My dad just got his retirement statement and it said his last day was Dec 01, 2012. Hee hee...told him to have a good twenty days. :)
