Wednesday's Digressions

I'm pretty sure this is the guy Don caught looking way more robust on his foray to SRF. Here, he is ready to stroke out in 90 degree heat and billion percent humidity.

  • Strangest headline I've seen in a while. Grandmother dies trying to stop sword fight. from AP on MSNBC
  • Learned I was recently mentioned by name at a funeral for my care of a hospice patient.
  • That and my parenting are two things I probably get way too much credit for.
New sandwich from Schlotski's. It looks like somebody plopped the contents of a school cafeterias garbage between 2 pieces of bread and called it good.
  • I have The Class Of Nukem High pulled up to watch.
  • Feel myself getting dumber already.
  • Quite a feat
  • Everybody needs a stormy day buddy.

Happy Easter you, if you do it......

The only mentioned Ive ever had at a funeral was at me Uncle Daves, unlike your mention probably about your wonderful care and compassion that you ooze, mine was slightly spookie lol...

This is what I wrote on the Dingleberries newspaper site that I hang out on, when they had a thread going about funerals.....

**I attended neither of my parents funerals … family stuff … maybe I will explain one day … But I did go to my dear uncle Dave’s funeral. … I did smile though cos when the vicar was doing his bit around the grave after they had lowed the coffin down the hole. … the vicar stopped and said ‘Dave wrote many things to me before he died, and now I read you one of them … and the vicar said ‘Tell Mel to stand back from the edge before she bloody falls in’ LMFAO - as you can imagine the whole funeral party burst out laffing, as did I, he knew me to well and yes I was near the edge LOL**

:)

Yep I to think its disgusting that doodles rip the claws out of their cats just to save a bit of furniture, aint they ever heard of other tactics with dealing with it....

And, even though me lads are men/men childs I still have the easter bunny visit LOL and yep, its all about memories....

I received my first ever easter egg the day before yesterday from 2 little nippers that I take to school each morning.... I have never in all me old years ever had anyone give me an easter egg before lol not even as a child..... me lads usually get me flowers or a box of chocolates.....

And, last waffle rubbish, you photo of that egg pod thingie so AINT on the moon, its more like somewhere in Texas :)

dont diss the bunny.... we all have to have something to believe in lol

Marmsie- Nah it wasn't too long- very funny, classic stuff! Was it the Vicar Of Dibley? Be good talk to you later.

I have no idea what happened: I pulled this post back up to correct something minor- I didn't touch a thing and it dumped the picture and several of my bullets...

Either you, or Marms, has been cruising in the DeLorean again...

I'm thinking all that heavy chain mail and stuff is the reason the Crusades didn't go over so well in Texas.

Don- Hey dude you can see by my old comment this thing had done some weird time calisthenics- years ago! When I pulled it up this time there weren't any comments visible or noted.

Yeah, occasionally a Conquistador helmet still pops up here in a family collection or barn find or whatever. I always picture one of them jumping off the trail to answer the call of nature and ditching that personal oven with extreme prejudice

As for the hospice care. Bless you. Having lost two family members in 4 years, I've seen the depths of care and caring offered there for the families.

Brigid- Thanks dear. Praise from you is high praise indeed. Take care.
