- In 1981Catcher In The Rye was both the most banned book in US schools and the second most widely taught. Let that sink in; that is some next level, mind blowin' stuff right there folks. I mean really, there is some psychosis at work in how that book was/is viewed in this country.
- Another one of those things that would blow your mind if you knew me: I have never read that book- although it is on my list.
- Toe, boob and butt: Three places I kissed on three different women before smooching their faces. Why? Mostly because I thought it would be funny but also maybe just so I could add that factoid to my story.
- Deep in the night (today is 07/18/2016) I watched Midnight In Paris. It is a good to very good movie in the way that not a lot of just good movies are made these days. There was not one single explosion or gunshot- just a good, well told story.
- My breakfast sammie place may be in trouble. They are not open on the weekends at all now and routinely open later than their posted hours during the week.
- Today is 07/27/2016. Work- I do not wanna.
- Dinner last night (07/28/2016) was at The Bearded Lady in Funkytown. When we were ready to leave I didn't see my server so I called over another whom I knew to ask her to get my server to bring us the check. She asked, Who is your server? Um, I don't know her name. What did she look like? Um, lots of tattoos. That is all of us. she said. Oh. Uh, face piercings... before I could finish she pointed to her own face. Real short shorts... she just glared at me like I was a crazy person. Oh, uh- real red lipstick! I blurted as I finally remembered a legit, discriminating feature to my server. Oh that is ________ I'll ask her to take care of you.
- The youngest person to serve in the US military during World War II.

- Occasionally there is a leadership class at work called something like, Lead Like Water! I am sure it is to connote how water always finds a way or something but I always process lead at first as being the heavy metal that causes brain damage when it is in the water and have an odd, momentary stop-down and wonder what on earth that could mean and why they want me to think about lead in my water...

- Recently (today is 7/2/2016) I tried to make a post with a meme of Steve McQueen which for some reason posted huge- 3 time or more the size of the original. When I deleted it the previous post also disappeared.
- The professional tanner is here at the pool.
- The Equate brand of instant lemonade is really good. Today I will buy more and pimp it out with real lemons.
- Zacs el cheapo RC boat was a huge disappointment.
- Olive Garden sounds good right now. No, I know it isn't fine dining but for the price, service and bread- it is worth it. As a bonus it is so close- I sometimes walk.
- What is the most ridiculous tattoo you have personally experienced? An old friend had flames tattooed all over her butt.
- Ridiculous.
- Something
that could only happen to me: One day when I was lonely and bummed I
thought of a friend who had recently told me to hit her up sometime for
lunch. So I wrote in an Email, “ Hey girl. I feel lonely and bummed. Want
to go out have lunch and hang out?” For several minutes I could not shake
the feeling I had done something wrong- I even second guessed whether
asking the intended person to hang out was appropriate. Don’t be ridiculous knucklehead. She told you to ask her! was the
response to myself. Then it hit me- holy smokes- I sent it to my ex-wife! With a sick feeling in my stomach I
opened my account to try and do damage control. The first thing I saw was
a draft I was pretty sure I had not intentionally saved. Thank God- it did
not send. Very- very carefully
I deleted it.
- Holy smokes.
- My husband in law would have just laughed and laughed I am sure.
- It would have been truly shocking if there were more than one person involved in the Dallas police officer murders.
- As of this time 1803 on 07/08/2016 there is no one in this world I can call a true and trusted friend. There is an aquaintence I suppose I could hang out with but I do not trust her motives and besides- she can be nerve wracking.
- A woman who is too brash or one who is too much of a wallflower would get on my nerves in equal measure.
- There is a deer flie harassing me as I write this from the deck. I don't recall ever seeing one in town.
- The Peach Fest is this weekend. I do not go to the festival nor do I curse the extra traffic it causes. That makes me an oddity in this town.
- I was an early follower of The Daily Woo.

- Yesterday (today is 07/07/2016) I bumped into an old co worker. She was one of those people who after 4-5 failed and abusive marriages discovered God and self help books- both of which are great- until you start beating people down with them. While I cannot say she was hated at the old job- she defininitely got on peoples nerves and she was set up to fail a few times. I felt sorry for her and used my influence to get people to back off. Yesterday, I remembered why she was so disliked. She makes an attempt at maintaining eye contact which turns into a stare down. She moves in close in an attempt to close the emotional distance but intrudes severely in your personal space. She asks you all about yourself to try and make you feel like you are the most important thing in the world at that moment but it makes you feel like you are being interrogated and you sense everything you say will come back to haunt you...
- It was a whippin'.
- Another connected thought: after not seeing her for many years and not even thinking of her for several years she crossed my mind recently. I thought about our interactions and how people treated her. I wondered where she was and what she was doing etc. It even crossed my mind how odd it was that I had not bumped into her through the years as when we were co workers while we were off duty we crossed paths frequently. For example, I rememember seeing her in multiple restaraunts and stores and bumping into her in Wal Mart parking lot- two times. It made me wonder, Is she even still alive? (she is quite a bit older than me). Although the subject changed, just last week during break room talk at lunch I almost used her to illustrate a point I was making; and then yesterday I bump into her. What am I supposed to do with those situations? Is that a God-thing that I am supposed to react to?
- Last night I started Evil Dead 2 which I am nearly sure I have never seen before. Well, to be more correct- I have definitely never seen the whole thing before.
- In another life I had multiple friends whom I could turn to when lonely. Some were older, some were younger, some were male and some female but there were several of us who knew we could turn to each other when needed. We could call or text and say, I don't want to be alone. Do you want to go ________? I don't have that anymore and I am not sure exactly why.

- Last night (today is 07/10/2016@0624) I considered looking for a campsite at MWSP as I thought the Peach Fest might have kept enough people away that I could find a spot. In the end, I decided I didn't want to burst into flames from the mid July heat nor be blown away by the tornado that looked to be inevitable based on the spooky, swirly clouds that were everywhere so I laid around like a lump at my place. Predictably, the rain did come but was nice and brief then there was a nice temp. drop and it stayed that way all night.
- It is perfect outside now. Only one mosquito has bitten me and he had the decency to stick around and let me smash him.
- Just a few years ago if we realised Saturday morning we didn't have anything else to do we would load up and go to MWSP and find a site as long as it wasn't a holiday. These days they will laugh at you for asking on such short notice. Then they will feel bad and say, Well, I guess ya'll can sleep in the dumpster...
- A neighbor is not only gorgeous but apparently nice and sweet. Her husband is one of those slackers who likes to church up what they are and call themselves gamers. She is ripe for the picking.
- I watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night. It was good.
- People are making a big deal out of the Dallas cop killer not being combat arms while he was in the reserves (I have read he was a carpentry and masonry specialist). Personally, I know of Navy commo personnel who did convoys and Army mechanics who did combat patrols and raids.
- This strike against an IS convoy happened very near my area of operation in Iraq.
- Yesterday (today is 07/11/2016) I saw a couple and small child who were moving out of their apartment. They were Asian. They were taking the stuff they did not want to move to the dumpster. The wife was pushing a king or queen size mattress on edge across the parking lot and the husband was carrying a couch cushion. He was was rushing by her calling out something like, Chop! Chop! Chop!... Crazy. The sorriest, most worthless American trash male would not do that to his wife. To be more correct- he might abolutely let her do that all by herself- but he would have enough shame to go hole up with his friends somewhere and play video games or watch football or whatever.
- I wanna party with these people.
