Thursday's Thoughts

Odd: there were glove fingertips laying around the trailhead to MW Trailway.

  • I don't necessarily have a thing for Hispanic ladies but all things being equal and were I forced to choose- I would pick the Mexican.
  • A nice Colombian would be OK also as at least when she is prattling on with inane details about how her day went- it would be with that amazing accent.
  • There is a girl at my donut shop that I would like to be friends with.
  • The preceding was an odd thought that occurred to me as she just looked over at me and smiled. Don't ask me why- I am just very sure she is really cool, nice and fun.
Nowhere near noon on a Sunday and I saw a woman in a parking lot kill this can of 311. It made my liver hurt.
  • I have been shopping for an RV
  • Recently my nursing buddy made no effort to flush the toilet after she left a massive turd in there.
  • The chorizo burrito breakfast special at R and K is great and cheap.
  • Today (02/11/2018) the busser there called me Sweety- an apparent odd and bad habit learned from hearing the waitress say it. It was weird- especially as he is a dude.
Both me and my server forgot that I was supposed to get a dessert with my lunch special. I ordered chocolate pie right before she remembered that I was due a sweet sweet banana pudding. Made my pancreas hurt.
  • Oddly although I do have a certain place in my heart for Decatur there is nearly no way I would move back there. Regardless- being there is not really like coming home.
  • From knowing cops, mechanics, to doctors to lawyers to judges there is nothing like having friends in those occupations. At least twice in my life somebody from that list has said, Let me see what I can do... and fixed a situation for me ( or definitely gave me the tools to fix said situation for myself).

From a craigslist ad: "Very cool vintage couch" it used terms like mid century and 50s to 60s vintage etc. Oddly, gross, smelly and bedbugs were missing

Til Tuesday

  • My dad once informed me we were to pick up a classmate and take her and her family with us to a school program as their car was down. That family was known for being poor and I suppose- low class. I didn't need my school social life to be any harder so I balked. He more or less said that was fine- I could walk. Also upon arrival to their home he made me go to the door to tell them we were there. I was thanked and told the car had been fixed after all and that they didn't need the ride.
  • I did not look at them, myself or my dad the same after that day.
  • Especially myself- when my classmate profusely thanked me at school the next day while more or less acknowledging she understood I would have rather taken a whippin' than be seen with her tribe.
  • One of the very few things I remember from a principles of economics class I took a long time ago is that tariffs are almost always a terrible idea and will also almost always backfire.
  • A thing I had forgotten but a blurb I read recently reminded me of is that tariffs may have precipitated the great depression- or at least did not help matters.
  • Man, my beard was getting white.
  • Yes was- I shaved it today 04/01/2018).
  • We played Uno at lunch yesterday. A good time was had by all.
  • Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Spread Your Love live.

  • It is 04/07/2017 and I am in the hospital with one of the fruit of my loins.
  • A funny little flashback: I learned said offspring's flesh mother was pregnant by phone. She blurted out I'm pregnant and started bawling.
  • An observation: overnight your nurse is much more likely to have less experience than your day shift nurse.
  • One of the nurses would be super cute if she didn't have surgically altered lips to be puffy looking. She looks ridiculous. The people who popularize things like that and perform the procedure should be ashamed.
  • When junior was feeling a little better we talked. What about you ask? Oh well- guns, monster trucks, hunting and chicks- oh, you know- America.
  • Nurses should really- really be more aware of their surroundings and watch their mouths. I can tell you Ms. Johnson's blood sugar average (160) and nurse Esmeralda child count (6) and how she delivered number 5 after a spinal block (She just fell out!)
  • Brother and sister nurses hear me- I was not even eavesdropping and I had my hearing aids out.
  • As a general rule the uglier the nurse- the better the care. The pretty ones never really had to prove themselves at anything and the ugly ones always had to prove themselves in everything.
  • Hood rat RNs I can give you some free advice that will help if you will accept it: If it looks good in the hood- it is probably an unprofessional look on the floor of a hospital.
  • Health care in America is a racket. We should be ashamed.
  • Speaking of should be ashamed: A nurse lied to a demented patient who asked to go to the restroom by telling her it was occupied and she would have to wait.
  • A security guard let me into the emergency room with my innocent looking face, scrubs and handful of charger cords that I told him I was bringing back in (he did not see me leave). Worse than worthless- he had no idea of my motives or what I may have been carrying besides the charger cords.
  • The scrubs I have on happen to be the same as hospital uniform policy. Being a guy and specifically one who is older and probably a little jaded looking has overawed people and they are a little afraid to do their jobs. They are alternating between avoiding me and sucking up.
  • Easy kids- I'm just a goofy old fart (and not that great of a nurse anyway).
  • This may be first in depth post from my phone. I hope it is good- it took me 9 hours to compose.
  • Hello my name is human.
  • Update: my evil spawn reports, I feel 1000 times better....
