He lost his eye in a fight-as he said,"The mos' artful fight of me life" His signature lines are,"I yam what I yam." and "That's all I can stands, cuz I can't stands n'more!"-the man has a way with words. There is a statue erected in his honor in Crystal City Texas the spinach capitol of the world. He's been around for 75 years and as tough as he his and with his work ethic he'll be around a long while to come.
