Makes me miss the late Ed Rasimus' blog, Thunder Tales. Ed was a Thud and Phantom driver, and later wrote 3 books from his experiences flying missions from Korat AB in Thailand. I was fortunate to meet him at an authors' symposium at the Fort Worth main library in 2011 or 2012.
I have to admit I have a weak spot for The Phantom. It was an ill-conceived aeronautical wonder.
