Agree that of the fast food Mexican places - Bell/Bueno/Cabana - the latter is the best. Their breakfast tacos are the bomb.
Totally a shame about the 35mms - I have a Nikon F Photomic that I lugged around southern Europe in the early '70s (along with an Agfa-flex). The Nikon has the most beautiful (and fast) 55mm f1:1.2 Nikkor glass you've ever seen.
Alas, the light meter on the VF went out years ago, and I could never find anyone left who could repair it - could probably get a replacement on ebay, but for what purpose - the photog world's gone digital now.
Speaking of war, it appears the Iranian nutjob is spoiling for one.
It's not as though it's 1941 and Yamamoto's Monday morning pronouncement applies - the USN would have every bit of Persian naval resources scuttled within 24 hours - and they'd know that going in.
Still, it appears that even the chance of a SOH closure was good enough to send retail gas prices up 15¢ over the holiday weekend.
Don- The digitals are just toooooo good for the money. There's no comparison anymore. I have a Nikon N75 body, 28-80 mm and
I think, a 200 mm lens if you're interested let me know- they'll be cheap for you.
I hadn't heard about the market response to the idea of the closure of SOH. A slight fluctuation shouldn't be a surprise, but this is one of those 'no brainers' where those folks who are not even nearly our fans know this won't end well for the Iranians. They're either bluffing or kidding themselves- both very dangerous. They can't win this game.
Really.
