Between the two of us, we could open our own REI, brah.
Although your department would be the high-end technical stuff, and mine would be more of the 'value' line, Coleman-y, Ozark Trail stuff...
Ya know I figured out that as much as I use it I 'need' the higher end gear for durability, lower weight and less bulk. As long as I watch for good sales the value is definitely there.
PS- the quality of Ozark Trail products has really come around and Colemans has started coming back. I still have a couple items of each brand.
