Did they modify their ROE - I thought it was a Brit who got the title of best long range shot a year or two ago for plucking a robed one off a mountain ridge at 1700 meters or so.
Hell, if they're not gonna shoot, they should just call them 'rifle guarders' or something...
Don- You're last statement is absoluteley true as far as I'm concerned. When our guys are obviously right (as these men were) they should drop the micreants every single time- with due diligence. The last I knew it was a Canadian who had some insane long distance record.

Oh, it was a Canuck who got the top long range honors. Nothing wrong with that - may the spirit of White Feather guard and protect him.
