Those poor horses can probably smell the bears, and that makes them run faster, right?, and the bears see the horses so close, making them do the "giddy up" motion, making the horses run faster........
Man, y'all are ight- on all counts. When I first saw this pic my mind filled in the blanks and assumed Photoshop. There is even a graghic comics cartoon type version. The bears are Syrian Sun bears. Yes, that treatment is sad and awful for all the animals involved. Another reason why I like your comments- either learn something directly or forced to slow down and think about my assumptions.
